Growing up in Egypt with the open crystal blue waters, Mo felt something was missing in his life. Mo’s parents were not strong swimmers, they were always apprehensive about him and his siblings with the water and had passed their fear of the water onto him. He was 11 by the time he learnt to swim properly and confidently. That’s why he believes in the importance of teaching children to swim from a young age. Not only does it give them an understanding of water safety, it helps build their confidence in the water and gives them a lifelong skill that will never be forgotten.
